SFL Gives Back
“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea”
– Antoine de St. Exupery
SFL believes that private institutions must lend a hand in improving social conditions, not just through local hiring but also by supporting advocacies for enhancement of communities. Through investing in education of the youth, SFL hopes to make a difference in the future of the children by providing access to more opportunities to uplift their lives.
Painting A Colorful Future
- SFL conducted a painting project at Baranggay Iram Elementary School with its staff and officers. The school solicited assistance from SFL last May 26 and SFL happily accommodated the request by donating painting materials and allocating an afternoon to complete the project. The activity was conducted in preparation for the school’s set-up for the opening of the 2015-2016 Academic Year.
Niño’s Pag-asa Scholarship Program
- Since 2006, SFL has partnered with the International Children’s Advocate Inc. at the Niños Pag-Asa Center, Olongapo City, to provide scholarships to six students every year. The Niños Pag-Asa Center caters to the education of the deaf, mute and blind students. The perseverance and diligence displayed by the students have inspired SFL to continue supporting the youth to seek empowerment amidst their circumstances. Through these scholarships, several students have graduated high school and have pursued their collegiate degrees.
