Beginning the month of May, SFL has commenced regular loading schedule for the export of magnetic black sand to Kaohsiung. The sand pile occupying the leased area of SFL in the Naval Supply Depot is delivered on a weekly basis and is then loaded during a 24 hour operations schedule by SFL staff using SFL’s telescopic forklift.
On May 28, 2015, the staff of SFL together with its officers headed over to Baranggay Iram Elementary School to help prepare the classrooms for the opening of the school year. SFL spent the afternoon painting the school and proceeded to donate the surplus painting materials for the use of the facility. This activity forms part of the effort of SFL in giving importance to education as a sustainable mechanism towards achieving an enlightened future.
Therma Visayas Inc. (TVI), a subsidiary of the Aboitiz Power Corporation, will be constructing a 450 MW coal-fired power plant in Toledo, Cebu. In this light, TVI has contracted the brokerage consultancy services of SFL for the items to be imported by its awarded Engineering Procurement and Construction Contractor, Hyundai Engineering Corporation.
