SFL Provides Various Services in Pacific Partnership 2019 in Chuuk, Micronesia
Seaway Filipinas Logistics, Inc. (SFL) provided several services such as transportation, translation and reception for Pacific Partnership 2019 (PP19) held in Chuuk State, Federated States of Micronesia last April 2019.
PP19, an annual United States Navy-led humanitarian operation, had its focus on interoperability among host nations, disaster preparation and risk reduction and advancing regional resiliency. Military and civilians from Australia, Canada, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and United Kingdom participated in the month-long activities that include disaster relief trainings, engineering projects, medical seminars and band performances in various schools.
SFL coordinated the team’s transportation needs from March 28 to April 26, 2019, providing several sedans, buses, trucks and boats for trips to islands of Fefen, Tonoas and Udot.
SFL also assisted with translation and interpretation services for the medical team that had seminars and workshops at Chuuk State Hospital. PP19 concluded its fourth mission stop on April 25, with a ceremony hosted onboard Mission Bay of Military Sealift Command expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Brunswick (T-EPF 6).
